shimmer skimmer

while searching for all-things-gold from kate spade, i miraculously stumbled on the shimmer skimmer dragonfly ring in gold...and in my teeny tiny size 5, no less!


i am so thrilled with this discovery and purchase and can't wait for it to arrive! i think rings are such a wonderful accessory but they are often forgotten. rings can add such an awesome oomph to an outfit, or even be a great conversation starter!

i'm gonna hunt for more kate spade rings. problem is, my ring size is so tiny, and it's always almost impossible to find one in my size.

but it's gonna be one exciting hunt!

gold is such a difficult color to dress in. for a night out partying, yes, but for everyday work wear...it's just too dressy! with the exception of the Be Dazzled Addie jacket, of course! that jacket is just so adorable!

anyway, while rummaging through my wardrobe i was so thrilled to stumble upon one of my old buys...this Mango dress that had just a touch of gold to it on the waistband. perfect!


i've been putting my Gold Coast Elizabeth to so much use lately. i need to switch to my other gold bags soon! but you know what, i've just realised that day? that i have a little-something-gold with me everyday...in the polka dots of my Cila sunnies!

gold is such an exciting yet challenging color! i don't own any gold outfits, but this can be easily solved by asos, lol! i do, however, own a few gold footwear...so, phew! bags-wise...i think i'll do pretty okay! i have the above Gold Coast Elizabeth, my Cornelia Street Tamara, my Tortola Kei, my Angaaga Island Janna, even my Tamarind Cove Shay...and also my Cozumel Eglantine! yes! the Cozumel Eglantine which i have used only, like, ONCE!

my hong kong buys!

have i been away for a while or what!
well, as some of you may already know, i was away for a family vacation to hong kong disneyland, as a special treat for my little one. the entire trip was dedicated solely to spending time at the theme park for him to get up close with his favorite characters, and for him to experience the magical kingdom of disneyland! as for me, this is the second disneyland i have been to, with the california one being the first. still, disneyland will never fail to awe you, no matter how many times you may have been to it!

great news is, though the entire trip was all about disneyland, i still managed to squeeze in some precious shopping time on our last day, just before we headed to the airport. and thanks to the husband, i treated myself to a couple of goodies at the kate spade outlet store at Citygate Outlet Mall! Tung Chung was as far as we could venture out to, because we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, and due to the time constraints, we couldn't travel any further. maybe next time!

and because it's an outlet store, most of the stuff there are old. they still had the 34th street treesh and the classic noel range, so you can imagine how old the stock is! i didn't fancy any of the bags on sale, nor the apparel. so i directed my attention to the small goods and accessories instead. the outlet store does have tons of shoes on sale, but the smallest size was six, and that won't fit a size-5 me.

okay, okay...i know many of you can hardly wait already to know what i bought from the store! well, here's what i scored!

and i also got myself the all typed up bracelet! i'm really chuffed about this buy!



besides these kate spade buys, i also scored some adidas kicks at the mall. on our return to singapore, we landed at terminal 3 of the changi airport, and a very happy sight greeted me at the duty free store!

yesterday i brought out my newspaper clutch for the very first time. i must say, it was quite fun! i love the incredulous looks i got each time i popped it open to reach for my phone or cash. love it! i was out with my girls, sans my three year old, thus the ability to utilise the clutch since i brought next to nothing with me! all i could fit were my keys, mobile phone, lip gloss, the essential cards and cash. that's all!

the orangie-peach top i wore is from dorothy perkins, matched with my Levis. i love the top because of the two cute little bows on the front!

polka dots

i've always had an affinity for polka dots (and frills), but i didn't realise both my Cila sunnies and Millie readers had polka dots on their frames until i was idly photographing them earlier today while i was in my early childhood class (yes, my lecturer is that boring).

i had the lenses put in at my usual optical shop for only fifty bucks for multicoated lenses...and i thought that was dirt cheap!

i can see clearly now! heh!

last weekend, we were invited to the birthday party of a friend's four-year-old, and this is the orange i wore!



it's the sheer pussybow shortsleeve blouse i got from asos in tangerine, which features a button-through back that is a challenge to do unless you have someone to help you with!!

but i do love the pussybow on the front, and i think i'm gonna get more of such blouses from asos. they are great to match with anything!

a little indulgence!

the meaning of self-restraint is alien to me. i walked into kate spade raffles city on tuesday, telling myself i'm NOT going to get anything, and i even enlisted my little sister to STOP me if i attempt to get anything, but all that was useless in the end.

i walked out of the store gleefully clutching a hot pink paper bag, and $221 poorer. what did i get? i got myself a pair of readers and also a new silicone iPhone 4 cover.






i'm really fond of my new readers! i was tossing between this (the Millie), the Jodie (in pink tortoiseshell) and the Pippie, but this one looked best on me. and i quite like the polka dots and the ksny license plate on the side of the frames too. i'm gonna have to get my eyesight checked again, and the proper lenses fixed in soon.

my sister, on the other hand, bought a new bag and a necklace, too. the 30% sale is too irresistible! have YOU been to the sale yet? =)
