update on the kate spade mix-up

if you've been reading this blog regularly (thank you!), you'd already know kate spade made a mistake on one of my orders. it was one of the items i'd bought myself last month as a birthday gift. thank heaven they didn't screw up any of the birthday presents the husband got me! but this bag that i'd bought myself was something i really wanted, and even better, it was in the color i needed, and also on sale, too!

thanks to the mix-up on kate spade's part, by the time the mistake was rectified, the bag was already out-of-stock. so...the conclusion was, kate spade will be refunding the amount back to my credit card account. but as of today, i'm still waiting for the refund to be effected because the wrong item they had sent me that i have since returned is still in transit.

i can't say i wasn't disappointed. i was. but ah well, sh*t happens. as discussed with a fellow reader here, we suspect that kate spade sub-contracts its warehouse management, thus the many mix-up stories we have encountered and heard about. while we can't really blame kate spade, they'd better improve the situation soon, otherwise customers will just lose faith in the label. not many customers are as forgiving and patient as my blog reader and i!

however, i still wanted the bag, because it was in a color i absolutely needed, so thankfully, i managed to find it on Amazon.com. and it was the only piece left, so i immediately grabbed it! now to wait for kate spade to refund the amount and for the package to arrive from Amazon! well, of course it's a lot more expensive than the sale price i'd paid on katespade.com, but as i've said, ah well, sh*t happens.

on another note, i also just got the gold coast elizabeth, this time in gold! i know, i know! i already have something similar, which is the gold coast margot in black, but i love the diamond quilting and the chain handles so much, that i couldn't resist the elizabeth! besides, the elizabeth is slightly bigger, has two additional outside compartments and is in a different color!

anyway, the third package from the husband still hasn't arrived, because you know why? i went and waited for the sant elmo stripe large colin that i purchased early this month to arrive, so that i could ship them together. i shouldn't have! but i think they'll both arrive next week!

so besides the colin and the gold coast elizabeth, i still have two more parcels to look forward to! woo hoo!

and oh, oh, oh! did you notice i added a new column to the right sidebar? it's called "quick kate spade facts", and it was the husband's idea! he thought it'd be interesting for readers if i shared a short and quick fact about kate spade - that will be updated weekly. and it was a brilliant idea, because whenever i visit kate spade's facebook page, i am sometimes amazed at how some do not know that much about the brand and the basic ksny info. this week i started with the most basic info byte - which is that kate spade herself is no longer with the brand.
