birthday present number two!

aren't i relieved friday is finally here! fabulous friday indeed! after missing the mailman and not getting my package on wednesday, my second birthday present is finally in my hands! i called them yesterday and arranged to pick it up on friday at the post office near where i stay. i wasn't gonna have it redelivered and risk missing the mailman again!

i ran home (okay, i didn't really run, i took a cab and hurried home, but you knooowww, i rushed home) and excitedly and impatiently tore the box open!

after the recent mix-up, i was quite worried should another mix-up occur. but the size of the parcel somewhat reassured me. i even shook the box, just to be sure! (read on and you'll understand how this helps, heh!)

where were we?
oh yes! i rushed home and tore the parcel open! and goodness, it felt good to the hands! after i had ordered it last month, i dropped by the ngee ann city kate spade store a few days later to have a look at it, and boy did i not have any regrets! if anything, it made me even more impatient for it to arrive!

and now here it is!
so, ladies, i present to you, my second kate-spade-purse-present from the husband...the gold coast margot in black!

allow me to quote endless.com:
"
Kate Spade's Gold Coast Margot mini satchel is pure chic. The understated glamour of its quilted leather, and the comparatively bold grommet and chain details, make this a timeless yet of-the-moment choice."

yes, that is exactly why i fell in love with the bag! the diamond quilting on the crinkled leather and the hardware chain handles are very chanel-esque, don't you think! and yeah, as mentioned earlier i shook the box to be sure the contents of the parcel was right, hearing the jingling of the hardware chain handles was a bit more reassuring!

i had wanted the gold coast elizabeth at first, but i figured that i have enough big bags already, and it would make a nice change to get a mini satchel instead.

this was the image i saw that sold me:

see how cute it is!

i was torn between the bronze and the black, but decided on the black one in the end, as it's a lot easier to match with my outifts and shoes. and the size is just perfect!

so.....here's another obsession moved to my "kate spade-haves"! *beams*

  1. You are right, it is very Chanel-esque, lovely! I just bought the la casita ginnifer in african violet. I'm so excited to receive it. Now I can relate to how you feel when waiting for your parcels to arrive!
    Enjoy!

go with the Gold Coast Elizabeth, Gael!
if not for me having so many big purses, i'd go with the Elizabeth too instead of the Margot!

  5. I just got someone to purchase this from KS outlet in the US. It's really a good bargain compared to what we see in stores here! I love the bow monde seraphine in purplelake you've got for yourself. The color with the shiny leather, it's so pretty, isn't it? Especially the large one, my dear, where did you get it? Hey..wait a minute..are you yummy mummy?
